Meet the Enterprises- Jubilee Ventures

Jubilee Ventures is an economic incubator in South Bend, IN. Their mission is to extend opportunity, restoration and ownership to the margins. Practically, that means that the primary impact that Jubilee Ventures seeks to make is to create a community of local businesses owned by members of the community. The hope is to see one business launched (owned by the community) each year, either through direct investment, coaching, support or through their model of apprenticeship.

Jubilee is creating business that give future business owners an opportunity to apprentice toward business ownership in a community focused on redemption, healing and wholeness. Their first enterprise, ReviveWorks, is a full service property maintenance company. Within the ReviveWorks scope of work there are a number of potential community business (carpet cleaning, painting, etc.). Over time, apprentices will learn the skills to not only provide the service but effectively run and manage the business and segments of the venture will be ‘peeled away’ and given over to local ownership.

Additionally, Jubilee is creating ways to support local entrepreneurs seeking to launch their own venture in the community. They are designing ways of investment, coaching,  support to ensure that these business leaders get an opportunity to see their business thrive.
